I would like to know were I can buy a transmission/gearbox that has
forward, neutral and reverse gears and can handle 200-300 hp.

Getrag (Germany) do a large range of inline RWD boxes that can handle this
power, even as synchromesh boxes.ZF also do plenty. It’s not power that
strains transmissions, but torque and cyclical vibrations.
BTW,if you actually want a box that will handle 300 BHP brutally unleashed
in _reverse_ as well as forward, you may be looking at the _big_ commercial
stuff,or earth moving gear, but I guess you just want to go fast _forwards_ ?
Hewland, here in the UK do plenty of dog ring race transmissions that can
easily handle this sort of power.(FT-200 range upwards in a transaxle,if you
want a rear or mid engined application).

All the 5 litre touring cars here in Australia use the Hollinger box
made by Peter Hollinger. Totaly unbreakable and fast. They are all
producing around 500-600 HP so the power range will not be a problem.
I do not know his address but he is based in Melbourne. Any of the
Racing supply houses in Australia would know his address.

If that is all you want then most V8 gearboxes will do. I’m sure by the
way your asking that you have more to your application than what you have
stated. Just about anything out of a Camaro or Mustang will work for you.
