Hi,

I have a 97 Legacy 2.5 GT. Besides having a ton of body roll on high
speed corner, I also seem to be sliding from side to side a lot (I’m
5’7" go figure). I’d like to put a 4 point seat belt in. As a college
student however, as much as I want it I probably can’t afford buying racing
seats. Does someone know how I can mount a 4 pt seatbelt on a standard car
seat ? The biggest problem will be the shoulder strap. I can’t run it
between the headrest handle for it will strangle me. Any help/suggestion
woud be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance to all of you.

I recently bought a 1970 Cougar with a 351 Cleveland engine. I identified the
engine based on the shape and configuration of the cylinder heads, although
when I tried to get a distributor cap for the car, three auto parts stores were
unable to match the old cap up with anything. The engine also takes the small
spark plugs.

I have been having a lot of difficulty starting the car when it is warmed up.
The car starts fine, almost immediately, when started cold. The engine turns
over quickly and smoothly as it is started. Once I go for a drive, however, I
can’t get the engine to turn over quickly enough to catch. It struggles to turn
over. I first replaced the all the ground lines, then the starter, then the
coil and the battery. At first the engine did not appear to have been rebuilt,
but I noticed that it has a chrome oil pan. Is it possible that someone could
have put in oversized rings and as the engine gets hot, the rings expand and
make the engine too tight to turn over?

I don’t know where to turn next. I have decreased the timing in order to get
the engine to turn over more quickly, but even that hasn’t helped. Any
suggestions?

Basically what I need is a way to prevent the fuel pickup from
getting uncovered during hard acceleration, cornering, etc.

Thanks,
        Jeff

My name is Don Barba. I am the Administrator of RIME, the
(RelayNet International Message Exchange(tm)), Network.

RIME (est. 1988), is network of world wide independent BBSs that
exchange e-mail. Messages are placed into subject areas called
conferences, each having a Conference Host (CH). Several areas are also
supported by vendor technical representatives who assist users.

Every message is viewed by the team of diligent CHs (moderators). Thus
insuring that RIME’s rules for "excellence of content", and decency
standards, are being met by every user.

RIME is a true "family network". The standard is not what one might see
and hear on prime time TV, but rather what one might see and hear from a
teacher in a classroom. RIME’s goal – is any child may stray into any
conference without being subjected to things considered obscene, abusive
or offensive. It is this high quality consciousness that makes RIME
unique.

I am inviting you to join the RIME Network. RelayNet(tm) is now
available on your desktop, from any NewsReader.
