Chassis design

I am looking for info on companies, etc. that design
&/or fabricate chassis for pavement racing, especially
designs with 4 wheel independent suspension
for engines under one liter.  I am particularly interested
in designs optimized for cost containment by the use
of readily available components.

Pls e-mail: dlnor…@rmi.com

Any assistance greatly appreciated….
David

Yeah right, as if there was anyone there actually posting, other than
that message robot…But anyway, regarding sportscars, as it is close
to my heart, would a thread like the current thread in rasi, ‘Best
endurance racer.." be considered a non-welcome thread in rasf1m?

As I interpreted the following it would be allowed…

But am I wrong pressuming that the views of the moderators, depending
on person and personality, special motoring preferensis, gender, age
and history, would cross, ie. someone throwing it out(no names) as
others(no names) would accept it? No matter what you say you lot will
never be 100% objective if it comes down to ‘censoring’, moderators or
not you go under the header ‘humans’.

What’s the reason for this?…What kind of posts would be coming from
rec.autos.sport.info that are so important? Is it the summary-thing?,
if so; personally I find that as close to spam as anything seen in
rasf1.

Help! Wife added oil treatment to fuel

My wife accidentally added a container of "Rislone" engine treatment to
the fuel tank of our 92 Mazda MPV. We have been having lifter noise
problems with it lately, so she stopped by an auto parts store and asked
what they recommended.

Trouble is, she thought it was a fuel treatment.

The engine has about 96K miles on it. It has been driven about 100 miles
since she added the goop. Oddly enough, it is running better! I don’t know
if I should be angry or roll on the floor laughing.

Anyway, what do I need to do about this? Have the fuel system flushed?

Please answer by email if you can.

Thanks,

Electric superchargers

Hi all,

Can someone point me to some companys that offer electric superchargers.
I’m mainly interested in the compressor sections that they use as I need
something with similar characteristics.

Does anyone know of a compressor that can flow about 100 cfm at ~7 psi at
relatively slow speeds.  I’ve looked into some leaf blowers but I don’t
think their loose tolerances will produce the pressure.  A centrifugal or
roots blower would be ok.

Thanks.

Matt.

New motor running LEAN! HELP!

Hi I’m Gaither in South Florida.

I have a new motor with 40 min. on it. I am using a rebuilt Holley 650
DP Part #4777. I have a very lean running motor at idle and turning the
mixture screws on the carb. do not change the condition even over 3
turns out. There doesn’t seem to be a vacuum leak and my vacuum reading
now is about 15. My timing is set to 15 degrees (stock is 10) The eng.
runs smooth and strong but the headers glow red after a few min. and my
air/fuel gauge shows LEAN!  (Do I need to drill out my idle feed
restriction holes? or rebuilt carb again?) I need help. I have not drove
the car with the new motor in it.

Please send me a few different ways to solve my lean condition!
